How Site Safety Managers Add Value to Your Business
According to Chapter 33 of the DOB’s Administrative Code , construction sites must have a primary site safety manager or coordinator designated to ensure compliance with the site safety plan. In addition, Section 3310.5 of DOB’s Chapter 33 also states that site safety managers and coordinators are responsible for ensuring the worksite meets all the site safety requirements listed in the chapter. Owners, agents, construction managers, or general contractors are responsible for designating a site safety manager or coordinator. It’s also important to note that the site safety manager or coordination must be certified by the department per Article 402 of Chapter 4 of Title 28 of the Administrative Code.
